A Place to Stay in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, Canada

We stayed here for our "mini-moon" so I might be a bit biased in saying this, but Rock Water Secret Cove Resort may be my favorite place that I have ever stayed. You might be tempted to call our tent cabin "glamping" but I don't even thing that begins to describe how luxiourous our stay was here.

The interior of our tenthouse suite was like a dream. A beautiful big comfortable bed, a soaking tub, shoji doors for privacy, radiant floor heating, a fire place, a refridgerator, hot water kettle, and a rainforest shower. It was truely wonderful and oh so relaxing, especially after all the wedding planning crazyness!

While there are other types of lodging at the resort, it's kind of hard to beat the tenthouse suites. That being said, during the high season it can be a bit spendy to stay in them, but it's totally worth it. We went in October and were able to get the lower off season rates and I believe during winter they have "storm watcher" rates that are even lower.

And then, there is this view.  Did I mention there are french doors that open up to a beautiful deck with chairs to enjoy your morning tea in? All while gazing out over the water at the various islands and dreaming?

I should also mention that the customer service at Rock Water was amazing - their restaurant was easily able to accomidate me and my many food intolerances. You can read more about my dining experiences on the Sunshine Coast here.

So if you're thinking of a trip to the Sunshine Coast or just need a great get away spot. Rock Water Secret Cove Resort is dreamy place to spend some time. I very much hope that someday that my husband and I get to return for an anniversary trip.

This place looks magical. Wish it was a little closer to home!

Magical is the perfect way to describe it. We took two days to get there driving - would be a long haul to do in one day from the Seattle area. The ferry ride was a nice break though - beautiful as well.
